SAT Chrome Extension Installation

The SAT Chrome extension brings instant Solana wallet analysis to your browser. Analyze any Solana address you encounter while browsing with a single click.

Prerequisites

Before installing the extension, ensure you have:

✅ Google Chrome (version 90+) or Chromium-based browser (Edge, Brave, Opera)
✅ MICHAMP Account (Create one here if needed)
✅ Active Subscription (Free plan available)

Browser Compatibility

The SAT extension works on all Chromium-based browsers including:

Installation Methods

Method 1: Chrome Web Store (Recommended)

Step 1: Visit the Chrome Web Store

1. Open Chrome and navigate to the Chrome Web Store
2. Search for “MICHAMP SAT - Solana Analysis Tool”
3. Or visit directly: https://chrome.google.com/webstore (Coming soon)

Step 2: Install the Extension

1. Click “Add to Chrome”
2. Review permissions in the popup
3. Click “Add extension” to confirm

Step 3: Pin the Extension

After installation:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in Chrome toolbar
2. Find "MICHAMP SAT" in the list
3. Click the pin icon (📌) to keep it visible

Now you’ll see the SAT icon in your toolbar!

Method 2: Manual Installation (Developer Mode)

For testing or if you have the extension files:

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

1. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/
2. Toggle “Developer mode” on (top right)

Step 2: Load the Extension

1. Click “Load unpacked”
2. Navigate to the extension folder
3. Select the folder and click “Select Folder”

Step 3: Verify Installation

The extension should appear in your list with:

• MICHAMP SAT icon
• Enabled toggle (should be ON)
• Version number

First-Time Setup

Login to Your Account

Step 1: Click the Extension Icon

After installation, click the SAT icon in your toolbar:

Step 2: Authenticate

1. Click “Sign In with MICHAMP”
2. You’ll be redirected to dashboard.michamp.com
3. Enter your credentials
4. Authorize the extension
5. You’ll be automatically redirected back

Security

The extension never sees or stores your password. Authentication uses secure OAuth tokens.

Step 3: Grant Permissions (if prompted)

The extension may request additional permissions:

Required Permissions:

• ✅ Active Tab - To detect Solana addresses on pages you visit
• ✅ Storage - To cache analysis results
• ✅ Identity - For secure authentication

Optional Permissions:

• ⚪ Clipboard - To copy addresses quickly
• ⚪ Notifications - For alert delivery

Verifying Installation

Test the Extension

Method 1: Visit a Solana Explorer Page

1. Go to https://solscan.io or https://solana.fm
2. Search for any wallet address
3. The SAT extension should:
   • Detect the address automatically
   • Show a small indicator icon
   • Allow quick analysis with one click

Method 2: Manual Test

1. Click the SAT extension icon
2. Enter a test address: 7xKXtg2CW87d97TXJSDpbD5jBkheTqA83TZRuJosgAsU
3. Click “Analyze”
4. You should see analysis results

Extension Permissions Explained

Required Permissions

activeTab

• Why needed: Detect Solana addresses on the current page
• What it does: Reads page content only when you click the icon
• Security: Only accesses the active tab, not all tabs

storage

• Why needed: Cache analysis results for faster loading
• What it does: Stores analysis data locally
• Security: Data encrypted and stored only on your device

identity

• Why needed: Secure authentication with MICHAMP
• What it does: Manages OAuth tokens
• Security: No passwords stored, tokens auto-expire

Optional Permissions

• Purpose: Quick copy of wallet addresses
• Can be disabled: Yes, in settings

notifications

• Purpose: Alert delivery for monitored wallets
• Can be disabled: Yes, in settings

Updating the Extension

Automatic Updates

The extension updates automatically:

1. Chrome checks for updates daily
2. Updates install in the background
3. Extension reloads automatically
4. No action required from you

Manual Update

Force an update check:

1. Go to chrome://extensions/
2. Click “Update” button at the top
3. Wait for the check to complete

Troubleshooting Installation

Extension Not Appearing

Problem: Extension installed but icon not visible

Solutions:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in toolbar
2. Find MICHAMP SAT in the list
3. Click the pin icon to make it visible
4. Or try restarting Chrome

”Cannot Install” Error

Problem: Installation fails with error message

Solutions:

1. Ensure Chrome is up to date (Settings → About Chrome)
2. Disable other ad blockers temporarily
3. Try installing in an incognito window
4. Clear Chrome cache and try again

Login Issues

Problem: Can’t log in or authentication fails

Solutions:

1. Ensure you have a valid MICHAMP account
2. Try logging out and back in to dashboard first
3. Clear extension storage:
   • Go to chrome://extensions/
   • Click “Details” on SAT extension
   • Scroll to “Site permissions”
   • Click “Clear data”
4. Reinstall the extension

Permission Denied

Problem: Extension requesting too many permissions

Solution:

• All requested permissions are necessary for functionality
• Optional permissions can be disabled in settings
• Review our Privacy Policy

Not Detecting Addresses

Problem: Extension doesn’t detect addresses on pages

Solutions:

1. Ensure auto-detection is enabled in settings
2. Refresh the page after installation
3. Check if the site is supported (see supported sites below)
4. Manually enter address by clicking extension icon

Uninstalling the Extension

If you need to remove the extension:

Step 1: Open Extensions

• Go to chrome://extensions/
• Or click puzzle icon (🧩) → Manage extensions

Step 2: Remove

1. Find “MICHAMP SAT” in the list
2. Click “Remove”
3. Confirm in the popup

Step 3: Clean Up (Optional)

• Cached data is automatically deleted
• Your MICHAMP account remains active
• Saved analyses remain in web dashboard

Reinstallation

You can reinstall the extension anytime. Your account data and saved analyses are preserved.
