Creating an Account

This guide walks you through the complete account registration process for MICHAMP.

Registration Form

Required Information

To create a MICHAMP account, you’ll need to provide:

1. Email Address

   • Must be a valid email address
   • Used for account verification and notifications
   • Cannot be changed after registration (contact support if needed)

2. Username

   • Your unique identifier for login
   • Can contain letters, numbers, and underscores
   • Must be unique across all MICHAMP accounts
   • Cannot be changed after registration

3. Password

   • Minimum 8 characters required
   • Should include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols (recommended)
   • Must match the confirmation field

Password Security

Use a strong, unique password for your MICHAMP account. We recommend using a password manager to generate and store secure passwords.

Optional Information

• Marketing Emails: Opt in to receive product updates and news

Step-by-Step Registration

1. Access the Registration Page

Navigate to dashboard.michamp.com and click “Create Account” or “Create one here” from the login page.

2. Fill Out the Form

Complete all required fields:

Email Address: john@example.com
Username: johndoe
Password: ••••••••
Confirm Password: ••••••••

3. Password Requirements

As you type your password, you’ll see real-time validation:

• ✅ At least 8 characters
• ✅ Passwords match (in confirm field)

Strong Passwords

While we only require 8 characters, we recommend longer passwords with:

• Uppercase and lowercase letters
• Numbers
• Special characters (!@#$%^&*)

4. Accept Terms and Conditions

Before submitting, you must:

• ☑️ Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• ☐ (Optional) Opt in to marketing emails

Click the Terms and Privacy links to review our policies before agreeing.

5. Submit Registration

Click the “Create Account” button. If there are any errors, they’ll be displayed at the top of the form:

Common errors:

• “Email is required” - Email field is empty
• “Username is required” - Username field is empty
• “Password must be at least 8 characters” - Password too short
• “Passwords do not match” - Confirmation doesn’t match password
• “You must agree to the Terms…” - Terms checkbox not checked

6. Email Verification

After successful registration, you’ll see a confirmation modal:

You must confirm your email to use your new account. Please check your inbox for a confirmation link.

Important Steps:

1. Check your email inbox
2. Look for an email from MICHAMP (check spam/junk folders)
3. Click the verification link in the email
4. You’ll be redirected to confirm your email is verified

Can’t Find the Email?

If you don’t receive the verification email within 5 minutes:

1. Check your spam/junk folder
2. Verify you entered the correct email address
3. Contact support@michamp.com for assistance

7. Complete Verification

After clicking the verification link:

1. Your email will be verified
2. You’ll be redirected to the login page
3. You can now log in with your username and password

Account Security

Email Verification

Email verification is required for:

• ✅ Security - Confirms you own the email address
• ✅ Account recovery - Enables password resets
• ✅ Notifications - Allows important account alerts
• ✅ Compliance - Meets regulatory requirements

Session Management

After your first login, you’ll be asked about cookie preferences. This determines how your session is managed. See Session Management for details.

Password Security Best Practices

1. Use a Unique Password

   • Don’t reuse passwords from other services
   • Consider using a password manager

2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (Coming Soon)

   • Additional security layer
   • Will be available in future updates

3. Keep Your Email Secure

   • Your email is the key to password recovery
   • Use a secure email provider
   • Enable 2FA on your email account

Troubleshooting Registration

Common Issues

“Email already exists”

• This email is already registered
• Try logging in instead
• Use the “Forgot Password” feature if needed

“Username already taken”

• Choose a different username
• Usernames must be unique across all accounts

Form validation errors

• Ensure all red-highlighted fields are corrected
• Check that passwords match exactly
• Verify email format is correct

Email not received

1. Wait 5 minutes - emails may be delayed
2. Check spam/junk folders
3. Verify the email address is correct
4. Try requesting another verification email (contact support)

Getting Help

If you encounter issues during registration:

3. Include details:
   • Username you tried to register
   • Email address used
   • Error messages received
   • Screenshots (helpful but not required)

After Registration

Once your account is created and verified:

1. Log in to access your dashboard
2. Choose a plan (starts with Free)
3. Add wallets to start monitoring
4. Generate API keys if needed

Privacy & Data Protection

What We Collect

During registration, we collect:

• Email address (for verification and communication)
• Username (for login)
• Password (encrypted and hashed - we never store plain text)

What We DON’T Collect

• ❌ No tracking cookies
• ❌ No third-party analytics during registration
• ❌ No personal information beyond what you provide
• ❌ No data sharing with third parties

Free Plan (Default)

Upon registration, you start with the Free plan:

• 3 monitored wallets
• Basic analytics features
• Community support
• No credit card required

You can upgrade to Pro or Enterprise anytime. See Service Plans for details.
